Interaction with Babies
Even though
you may be worried about your baby getting sick if he gets around
other babies, or you may have a variety of reasons why you do not
want to take your baby around others, this may be causing your baby
to miss out on a very important part of growing up: interaction
with other babies.
There are many reasons why interaction with other
babies is important for your little one. The most important is that
he will learn basic communication skills with other babies. He will
learn to play nicely and to share, as well. This learning process
isn’t always a great experience because the babies often do
not have any desire to share, but it is something they must learn.
Another benefit that your baby will receive by interacting with
other babies is that he will have fun. It is important for babies
to get to play with other babies their age to be able to share in
the things that they do. Your baby can also learn from other babies
his age. This is specifically true if your baby has no siblings
to learn from. Babies and toddlers do different things than adults
do, and your baby needs to get to see what others do, so that he
can imitate them just as he would imitate you.
One other wonderful benefit of your baby interacting
with other babies is that it is fun for the parents to watch. You
get to see your baby act totally differently, because even young
babies do not act the same with every person they come in contact
with. Not only does this give your baby an opportunity to learn,
but parents can learn from watching their children as well.
