Bathing
babies is something that must be done in stages. In the beginning,
you will need to bathe your newborn by simply using a washrag with
baby soap. This will need to be done until the umbilical cord falls
off. Once this happens, babies can officially be submerged in water.
This is when you can begin to use a small mesh or sponge brace in
a tub or sink, or you could use one of the age-old blue baby bathtubs.
Once a baby can actually sit up, you will be able to sit him in
the sink or a tub using a bath ring.
Whatever you decide to use for bathing baby, you
will need to be certain that they are safe.
Likewise, you will need to use products that are
appropriate for a little one of this age. All babies need no-tear
shampoo that is intended for little ones and baby soap that is appropriate
for sensitive skin. Baby washcloths and towels are also very important
because adult materials are too rough on baby’s body.
Once you have covered all the above details, you
can begin bathing your baby with confidence.
