From
the time baby cuts his first tooth, usually around six months or
so, you should begin brushing that one tooth. As he grows more and
more teeth in, you should brush all of them. There are baby toothbrushes,
as well as baby toothpaste, available for this very purpose so that
the bristles don’t hurt your little one’s gums and the
toothpaste won’t harm them if swallowed. Even though the toothpaste
is harmful, you should always be the one to brush his teeth, just
to be safe. You should also keep it out of baby’s reach at
all times and never let him play with the toothbrush away from actual
brushing.
By doing this, you are not only preventing cavities,
but you are also instilling in your baby a lifelong habit of regular
teeth brushing.
