When
a woman gives birth to her child, there is pride, exhaustion,
love and pain all mixed into one. Both parents are embarking
on the most fulfilling and challenging task of their lives,
and their friends and family are eager to be kept informed!
Most parents officially let the world know of this most precious
arrival with baby announcements. Everyone’s questions
can be answered with baby announcements that include the child’s
name, weight, height, time of birth, etc. Of course Mom will
want to know the very moment it happens, so a phone call must
be made in this case, but baby announcements can travel through
a wider range of friends and relatives.
You have several choices when it comes to baby announcements.
What you decide upon in the end depends largely on how much
time and energy you can spend on them. There are traditional
pink and blue designs, or more unique choices like photo cards
and actual websites.
Here are the most common ways that people decide to make
their baby announcements:
· Online. This is a modern and unique form of baby
announcements. If you are computer savvy and can build your
own website, you can introduce your child to the world by
making his or her own page. Include all the photos, messages
and quotes, birth stats and cute designs that you want.
· Pre-printed. The quickest and simplest way. Buy pre-printed
baby announcements at a local store or online, and just fill
in the blanks next to Baby’s Name, Weight, etc.
· Custom-printed. You can find plenty of companies
online that will take your info and create a brand-new, custom
designed set of baby announcements with your choice of font,
messages, photos, etc.
· Home-made. Why not make your own baby announcements?
This can be fun and rewarding, especially if you’re
the artsy, scrapbooking type! Find some card stock, ribbons,
glitter pins and other fun materials, and create your own
style of baby announcements.
