Planning baby birthday parties is not too hard; in fact it
can be a lot of fun. There are a few steps you should follow
in order to ensure stress-free preparations and a smooth-flowing,
fun-filled birthday party for your little one.
The first step is to choose a theme for the party. This can
be as simple as walking down the gift aisle at your local
discount store. They have a whole aisle devoted to themed
party supplies. You can choose any of the most popular cartoon
characters or a simple and basic baby theme. You can also
make your own party favors, decorations and invitations. Your
computer is an amazing tool to help you do this. When you
make your own party decorations, the sky is the limit when
it comes to your theme. Choose whatever you like that is fitting
for your baby.
Now that you have a theme and some invitations, you must
decide who will be invited to this grand party. Most likely,
you will invite family and close friends. Little one and two-year-olds
are not likely to have a long list of people they socialize
with. And more than likely, the party will be for the benefit
of the adults and not so much for the children.
That being said, there are some things you can do to create
a fun atmosphere for even the youngest of children. Clowns
are fun for entertainment, as long as your little one is not
afraid of them. Balloons are always a popular hit with toddlers.
You could even have the clown making balloon shapes for the
children. Another fun thing you could do to entertain young children
is have a puppet show or story time.
Babies are a little too young to understand the rules of
typical party games. But, every child loves cake. It just
wouldn’t be a birthday party without it. For a nice
touch, you could decorate your cake based on the theme. If
you don’t have time, however, there is no need to worry.
Cake tastes good no matter what its shape, color or size.
For a first birthday party, consider getting your baby her
own cake. Many grocery stores will give you a small cake for
free to celebrate a first birthday. The only catch is that
you have to buy the bigger cake from them. Place the small
cake on your one-year-old’s high chair tray and watch
her go to town on it. This is a fun tradition!
Baby birthday parties are such a fun occasion. It’s
a great time to get together with the people you are closest
to and celebrate the life of your little one. Don’t
forget to take lots of pictures; you will want to remember
this fun-filled day forever.
